The Proposed New Bridleway
The claim made for a new Bridleway had been allocated a case number. A letter has at last been received from Essex County Council's Principal Legal Assistant that acknowledges the claim for the new Bridleway.
The letter advises that the application should be looked at next year. However, we believe this will still be a lengthy and complicated process as there is confusion over ownership of parts of the land over which the Bridleway will run. Over the years small parcels of land have changed ownership between the water authority, Rayleigh, Rochford and Essex Councils. There are also some parts of the land which are unregistered and owners are unknown. Rochford District Council is in discussions with landowners with a view to acquiring the land in question but this is obviously going to be a protracted legal situation.
Any further progress towards the establishment of the new bridleway will be reported here.
